Sufficient shoulder mobility is important to minimize injury to the shoulder (obviously), but also the neck, spine, and entire arm. We are constantly checking the 2 below motions on patients who come to with any issue from the waist up; anything ranging from headaches to carpal tunnel.
If you notice one side is limited and/or painful compared to the other side, give us a call and see how we may be able to help.
Check out this great 5 minute video on various shoulder mobility exercises. It was created by Dan Pope, a physical therapist who has many great posts (@ www.fitnesspainfree.com). I figure a guy that looks like Aaron Rodgers and has a better body than me is better suited to make a YouTube video for this sort of thing. Check it out!
Pain is a serious issue that hampers millions of Americans every year. Not only does it effect our qualify of life but it also lightens our wallets.
In 2010, it was estimated that the United States spent between $500 billion and $635 billion on the treatment of pain. To put these numbers in perspective, that same year $309 billion was spent treating heart disease, $243 billion was spent treating cancer, and $188 billion was spent treating diabetes.
THAT IS CRAZY! We spend more money on PAIN than heart disease, cancer, and diabetes combined.
But another recent study showed:
Call and see how we may be able to help you save some money and get rid of pain simultaneously :)

Again, before that run, basketball game, Cross fit workout, whatever; don't you think you should wake up the area of you body that connects your shoulders and arms to your hip and legs? I used this as part of my warm up this week and really enjoyed it.
