Sitting All Day? Quickest Exercise to Help Decrease Neck & Back Pain

​Today, our jobs are requiring more and more of our time, energy, and focus.  For those who spend time at a desk, our minds may be working on overdrive, but our bodies are certainly not.
​People who sit for long periods tend to:
  • have more lower back problems
  • cut life expectancy
  • raise blood sugar
  • increase the risk of heart disease
​​​So what quick exercises can you do to help? Today we introduce the:
Picture

​​Thoracic Whip

​
  • Must be sitting
  • Hands interlocked against sternum
  • Using momentum, "whip" and rotate to one side 5-10 times and then repeat to the other side.  Each time, your body should spring you back to the middle.  Do NOT hold the movement in rotation...think fluid.

We love to work and sometimes we forgot to take care of ourselves and those exercises that are shown in this post will be a that guide for many people. They will be delighted because it will help them remove the pain that they are experiencing in the present moment.
